デトックス(解毒)とは?(1)〜 DETOX 〈4−1 What is Detox〉

Traditionally it was undertaken once a year. In our present environment more often can be necessary, if not essential. What are we taking about? It’s the all important detox of the body and mind.

 

Our world is becoming increasingly toxic.

From heavy metals in the environment that can accumulate in our soft tissues to Volatile Organic Compounds present in many household products, that can increase the risk of such conditions and symptoms as cancer, eye and respiratory tract irritation, headaches, dizziness, and memory loss, and Biophenol A, a hormonal disrupting chemical we encounter when drinking refreshingly from plastic bottles, our health, vitality and life can all be under compromise.

So what is a detox? It’s the reduced or removed of toxic elements that have built up within our system. The body does have its own wonderful, natural and efficient detoxing pathways,. The liver, being the major detoxing organ of the body has two phases of detoxification; 1 and 2. However, if we are exposed to too many multiple toxins, our body can become overwhelmed and accumulate an unhealthy toxic load.

Headaches, chronic infections, irritability, poor memory, joint aches and pains, brittle nails, dull hair, skin issues, adult acne, psoriasis, weight issues. Tiredness, depression, procrastination can all indicate too many toxins in the system.

So what are some benefits to be gained from changing our diet and lifestyle for a spell.

1) Improvement of our general physical health.
2) A possibility of disease reversal. Fasting has been shown to improve cardiovascular disease, arthritis, autoimmune disease, poor immunity, skin conditions irritable bowel syndrome amongst other things.
3) A clearing of emotional blockages & complexes, leaving us freer to enjoy our life more fully and attract wonderful opportunities into it.
4) Mental clarity and a stronger connection to our higher self & destiny

A true fast involves complete abstaining from food, and sometimes even water. It requires an assessment of ones health before commencement and close professional supervision during the fasting period. On the other hand a restricted food detox can generally be undertaken safely and effectively as long as some basic guidelines are followed.

 

So where is a good place to start?

Planning and preparation are key. Take time to consider what your detoxing priorities: Do you wish to concentrate on the physical, emotional or spiritual? How much time can you spare from your busy life for your detox? Do you have opportunity o solely focus on your cleanse or will you need to fit it around a work routine? And too what level will you take your detox?

Our ancestors understood the power and necessity of detoxing and its tremendous ability to bring about healing to the mind, body and spirit. It’s well worth the effort. So take your time to design your individual schedule.
