マーティン・ジョーンズ ミディアムシップを理解する パート1〜Understanding mediumship Part 1

What is a medium?

A medium is someone who acts as the ‘medium’ between the Spirit World and a client, whether this is on a one to one basis or in a public demonstration. A medium is able to receive and deliver specific details about the person in the Spirit World who wants to communicate with a friend or loved one here. This happens because when we die it’s only the physical body which does so, our soul continues to live and grow in the next phase of life, the Spirit World. We become free from the physical attachments of this earth plane such as poor health and physical needs as well as the many driving emotions that are part of the physical existence; the need for money and power are part of this world and not the next. Once people move into the Spirit World they often have much deeper insight into life and themselves.

They are able to see and feel beyond personal preferences and opinions and see the truth about different aspects of life and existence. There are many different beliefs throughout the world about what happens when we die. Some believe we simply cease to exist and become nothing more than dust floating about randomly and without awareness around the Universe whilst others may believe we become our true selves and become closer to God. As I have worked as medium for several years I know without doubt that our consciousness moves on and when we move into the Spirit World we retain who we are. We still hold our memories and our positive characteristics which we communicate through mediums and share the details of our lives to prove that we are still alive and it’s us communicating. Sometimes in communication with a medium our loved ones even share aspects of their experiences within the Spirit World.

Many people who believe wholeheartedly in a Spirit World and who understand mediumship within a religious framework are Spiritualists. However, nobody has to follow any particular doctrine or label themselves to believe in the Spirit World. Somebody said to me many years ago that people who identify with many religions and philosophies say they have a faith in life after death, however Spiritualists KNOW there is life after death. Many people throughout the world have an inherent knowledge that we are part of the Divine source of all life.  Many Spiritualists regularly receive specific proof that their loved ones are still alive in the Spirit World.

Evidential mediumship

How did they receive this proof? Often by personally experiencing the continuing existence of somebody special to them, maybe their son, a spouse or a parent or even their next-door neighbour. Sometimes they smell the perfume of their loved one, somethings it’s just a feeling of a presence. Another way is that they have had an accurate message and communication through a medium. What makes an accurate message? EVIDENCE!

What do I mean by evidence? The term evidence of survival is often used in the UK. This refers to the medium being able to receive and deliver details from the person in the Spirit World that is personally specific to their life and or the recipient. This can be any type of information but a few of the fundamentals include but are not limited to; the name and relationship of the spirit person, as well as details about other family members, the age they passed over, major health conditions and how they died, places they may have lived or worked, important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries and memoires shared with the recipient.  An experienced medium should be able to provide information that they have absolutely no way of knowing to give prove that they are really communicating with your loved one and not making up stories or using their own imagination. The information must be able to be validated as being true for it to be classed as evidence of survival.
