Human layers
I was in a supermarket the other day at the vegetable section. I was looking at the onions when a thought came to me, how an onion, because if it’s layers, can symbolise a person both internally and externally.
The outer skin of an onion is symbolic of the way we may appear or look, a bit like our own face or standard features. The inner layers are like the different aspects of someone’s personality and behaviour. The difference with an onion is the layers do not move but ours do. The deep inner layers can come to the surface at different times and affect our behaviour. Trauma or anxiety from the past can come to the surface either regularly with our behaviour or thoughts, or unexpectedly at a certain moment in time.
A person who had rejection or many disappointments in their past, may bring that to the surface by always being anxious or worried, that things will always go wrong. So the deep layer of the past is always brought to the surface.
A person who always had to compete for attention or material things when they were growing up, may always continue to compete or feel guarded as an adult, even when there is no need to.
A person can have many different aspects so they may be confident and outgoing in some situations and shy and nervous at other times..
A person can also show different layers or aspects of themselves to different groups of people. So for example their work colleagues may have an opinion of their personality or what they are like, which may be very different to what that persons family members think of them.
These are just some examples of the layers a person may have. They can be good for that person and their future or negative for that persons peace and happiness.
The thing that is important to progress and feel more positive, peaceful and successful is to work to remove the negative and enhance the positive. So if you feel you have layers you wish to remove please work on doing this.
This is where connecting to spirit guides, meditation and peaceful reflection are so important. Please thank your guides for their help and also ask for help in bringing out he good aspects of you have and removing the negative aspects.
Meditate when and as often as you can. If you find meditation difficult practice doing short ones and be patient with yourselves.
Self- reflecting should always be done in a positive way. Look at your good aspects whatever they are and acknowledge you have them and wish then to grow. If you feel you lack any great qualities look deeper, you will have many good things you may have overlooked about yourself.
Any aspects you wish to change or remove do so in a peaceful way. So rather than being upset or frustrated with yourself see them as layers you have acquired because of your life and experiences.
It is by wishing to change and remove some layers of the past or aspects of yourself you can.
So rather than being just like the onion and always carrying every layer we can remove the ones we don’t want and keep the ones we do.
