目に見えなくても変化は起こっています。

ロンドンでの少年時代、学校で「スイセンを育てる」という課題が出ました。
家に持ち帰って育てるというもので先生から球根と土を渡され、育て方も教えてもらいました。

私の記憶が正しければ、植木鉢に入れて土で覆い、水をやり、食器棚の暗い所に置いておくということでした。
それから定期的に水やりをしたと思います。

幼ない少年だった私はとても待ちきれなくて、毎日食器棚にチェックをしに行きました。
毎日がっかりしました、だって何も変わる様子がないんですから！

初めて何かが伸びてきているのが見えた時は、大喜びしたのを覚えています！
やがて黄色いスイセンが咲き、学校に提出する日はとても誇らしい気持になりました。
ロンドンに住む少年として、何かを育てるというのは奇跡のように思えたのです！

このストーリーはスピリチュアルなメッセージを伝えています。
それは私が自然のワークショップで木についてお話することと似ています。

人間である私達からは何が起きているか見えませんが、大きな変化は見えないところで起き続けています。

そしてこのスイセンのように、しかるべき時がきたら、「ずっと起き続けていること」が目に見える形で現れるのです。
スイセンが土を割って伸びてきて、そうして私達はその結果を見ることができます。

これは人生にとてもよく似ています。
努力しているのにうまくいかない、成果が目に見えて現れない、将来的にポジティブな変化が見えないと感じる時があるかもしれません。

そう感じるからといって、本当にそうだとは限りません。
これから大きな変化が起きようとしている、ただまだはっきりとした形で現れていないだけかもしれません。
何も変わっていないようでいて、かつてないような、すべてを変えるような大変化が起きている、ということもあります。

将来に対してまったく良い期待ができない気分の時は、きっとうまくゆくとは信じ難いものです。
しかし、それでも努めて信じることが大切です。

できる限りポジティブでいること、そうしてこそ人は前進できます。
とても明るい未来を予期している場合も、努めて信じ続け、明るい未来に向かって進み続ける必要があるのです。

私からのメッセージは、いつも努めてポジティブでいること、忍耐強く未来を楽しみにすることです。
まったく思いがけないタイミングで変化がやってくるかもしれませんよ！

Change can be invisible.

When I was a small boy in London my class at school were given a project by our teacher  to each grow a daffodil. We were given a bulb and some soil to take home and given  instructions on how to grow it.

If I can recall correctly we had  to put it in a plant pot,  cover it with the soil, water it and put it in a dark cupboard. Then I think we had to keep it watered regularly.

Being a young boy I was impatient for it to grow and checked in the cupboard every day. I was disappointed every day because nothing seemed to be happening!

I do remember feeling elated when it first showed signs of coming through! Eventually it grew into a yellow daffodil and I was very proud on the day the class had to take it into school. For me as a London boy growing something felt like a miracle!

The spiritual message in this story is similar to when I talk about trees in winter in my nature workshops.

That although as humans we cannot see anything happening, great changes are taking place unseen. Then like the daffodil when the time is right we see what has been happening.  The daffodil grows through the soil and we can finally see the result.

This is very similar in life. A person may feel they are trying but not succeeding or they cannot see any good things or positive change in the future. Although they may feel like this, it  does not mean it is true. There may be great changes that are going to take place  but they are not yet evident. Sometime’s when nothing seems to be happening the greatest changes of all are taking place.

It can sometimes be very difficult to believe in the future when it feels like it will never be good but, it is important to try and do so. It is by being as positive as possible that keeps a person moving forward. The future may be very bright for someone but they have to try and keep believing and moving towards it.

So my message would always be try and stay positive and patient and look forward to the future. Change can come when it is least expected to!
